A hard drive (HDD) and a solid-state drive (SSD) are both storage devices used to save data, operating systems, programs, and files on a computer. The main difference is how they store and access data.
A hard drive (HDD) uses spinning magnetic disks and moving mechanical parts to read and write data. It is usually cheaper and offers larger storage capacity, but it is slower, noisier, and more prone to physical damage.
An SSD (Solid-State Drive) uses flash memory with no moving parts, making it much faster, quieter, more durable, and energy-efficient. SSDs improve boot times, application loading, and overall system performance, but they are generally more expensive than HDDs for the same storage size.
