A graphics card (also called a GPU – Graphics Processing Unit) is a hardware component in a computer that is responsible for rendering images, videos, animations, and 3D graphics. It processes visual data and sends it to the display so you can see everything on your screen.
Graphics cards can be integrated (built into the CPU or motherboard) or dedicated (a separate powerful card installed in the computer). Dedicated GPUs are used for gaming, video editing, 3D modeling, and other graphics-heavy tasks because they provide much higher performance than integrated graphics.
